This hotel is a hidden gem! The location is absolutely breathtaking, with panoramic views of a serene lake and a beautiful red tori gate. It's the perfect spot for capturing amazing sunset photos. The staff is incredibly friendly and the management team does an excellent job of keeping everything organized. The rooms are designed in a traditional Japanese style with tatami rooms and comfortable futon beds. And the Japanese breakfast is simply delightful, with a changing menu that ensures you never get bored.

The hotel could benefit from some updates in terms of room amenities and furnishings.

This hotel is absolutely worth every penny. The attention to detail is impressive, from the cozy yukata provided to the range of high-quality skin and hair care amenities in the room. The location is unbeatable, right across the lake and near breathtaking waterfalls. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service, making sure that every need is met. And let's not forget the delicious traditional breakfast, a perfect start to the day.

No major complaints, everything was just fine.

We loved the cozy vibe of the hotel, especially when we changed into yukatas. The onsen was lovely, and the natural hot spring was a nice touch. The breakfast and dinner were perfect. The staff was kind, friendly, and spoke English with us. The view of the lake and mountains was amazing. The hotel's location halfway up the mountain was perfect for exploring the area over the weekend.

    Couldn't fault.

The view from the room was breathtaking, facing the lake and a beautiful red gate with a stunning sunset. The traditional Japanese concept was fascinating, with a tatami room equipped with comfortable futon beds, a private onsen and free massage chair. The Japanese-style breakfast and dinner were delicious and included in the stay. The staff was excellent, friendly and helpful, despite our basic Japanese skills. The hotel's organized facilities were spotlessly clean, and the location was ideal for exploring the area over a weekend.

Although the facilities were spotless, the hotel is beginning to show its age, with some worn cabinets, old carpets with stains, and the bed was quite hard and uncomfortable. The room temperature was also too hot, despite turning the thermostat down.

We had an exceptional stay in this cozy and charming hotel. the location was perfect, with breathtaking views of a beautiful lake and surrounding mountains. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a private bath on a terrace that had an amazing view. We were impressed by the facilities, especially the indoor/outdoor onsen and massage chairs. the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the traditional breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious.

We did notice that the decor in some parts of the hotel could use a bit of updating.

The hotel had stunning views of the lake and mountains, which made the perfect scenery for taking pictures. the breakfast and dinner served were outstanding, with traditional Japanese meals included. the staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel at home. the indoor/outdoor onsen was a great way to relax and enjoy the stay.

The bed was uncomfortable, as it was too hard, and the temperature in the room was too hot even after adjusting the thermostat. the room was starting to show signs of age, with worn cabinets and old, stained carpet.

My stay at Hotel Hana-An was simply marvelous! From the cozy and homey atmosphere to the amazing view of the lake and mountains, everything was perfect. The traditional breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious, and the staff was kind and friendly. The onsen with a natural hot spring was a delight, and the room was spacious and comfy. Despite some signs of wear and tear, it was still a jewel of a hotel. I highly recommend it for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a hotel that exceeded all my expectations. The attention to detail was impeccable, making my stay truly special. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the friendly and helpful staff. They spoke English fluently, which made communication a breeze. The rooms were not only spacious but also incredibly comfortable, with a range of amenities that made me feel pampered and relaxed. The highlight of my stay was the breathtaking view of the lake and mountains, which I woke up to every morning. It was simply mesmerizing. Additionally, the hotel's location was ideal, as it was conveniently situated near the stunning waterfalls and just across the lake. This made exploring the area a breeze. And let's not forget about the delicious breakfast that was included in my stay. It was a perfect way to start the day.

All in all, I couldn't find a single thing to criticize about this hotel. Everything was flawless.
